The Edgewater Neighborhood organization reached out to collaborate on rebranding an outdated festival that they had not hosted for several years. The goal was to attract and welcome the local community back with a lively, playful, LGBTQ+ and family-friendly festival identity.
With custom type and a colorful, artsy, cut-and-paste style, I aimed to develop a look that feels fresh but also has the ability to evolve with the community and the event. This included event collateral, signage, merch, social media graphics, and fun interactive pieces like a rainbow selfie wall and dynamic stage backdrops for festival performers.
The first year bringing the festival back "was a huge success, with over 14,000 attendees," according to the organization.
